DAY-TRIPS
CETINJE – LOVCEN
The historic metropolis of Montenegro, Cetinje, is located beneath Lovćen Mountain and the national park of the same name. The mountain top is crowned with the Mausoleum built in honor of Petar II Petrovic Njegoš, a poet and the most famous of all Montenegrin bishops. Today Cetinje is a museum with the best preserved weapon collections in the Balkans.

SKADARSKO LAKE
Skadarsko Lake is only seven kilometers from the sea and it is the last pelican resort in Europe. In addition to being the largest ornithological reservation in the Balkans, it is also one of the last freshwater swamps in the Mediterranean and the biggest lake in the Balkans.
Rijeka Crnojevica, a small town on the river of the same name that flows into Skadarsko Lake, used to be an important economic centre, and today it is a must-see tourist destination.

BOKA KOTORSKA – BAY OF KOTOR

Boka Kotorska is a large and outspread bay, one of the most beautiful bays in the Mediterranean. It is naturally divided in four smaller bays. Along the bay lie neat and tame seaside towns as monuments to culture and witnesses to once rich marine and cultural life. Behind them high mountains rise up into the sky, protecting them from the cold northern climate and making Boka an oasis of Mediterranean flora.

The Tara River is part of the Durmitor National Park. Soil erosion has created the second largest canyon in the world (the first one is in Colorado), and adventurous tourists come here to enjoy rafting in this unforgettable place.

The National Park Durmitor and Mount Durmitor are natural monuments protected by the UNESCO and entered into UNESCO’s Registry of World Cultural and Natural Heritage. The site has 49 peaks over 2000 meters in height, 5 canyons, 18 lakes and 748 springs of clear mountain water.
